The Cottage
Two Figs Retreat offers stylish Art Deco inspired, eco-friendly accommodation with views overlooking Turntable Falls valley on a secluded, peaceful, scenic 8 hectare property, shared with native birds and wildlife.
The unique 3 bedroom cottage sleeps 7 is full of character, with huge recycled timber beams, slate floors and a potbelly stove. Eclectic retro treasures charm our guests and give the decor a special ambiance. There are extensive gardens, a lake and an extensive bamboo forest. Come to relax and replenish your spirit, for a romantic getaway or bring the family or friends for a celebration in this idyllic setting.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need from toaster to coffee machine and laundry facilities are provided.
Quality towels, linen and handmade palm oil free, soaps are provided.
Two Figs Retreat was built 20 years ago based on a Permaculture design, with sustainability in every aspect giving you a truly green holiday.
The entrance to the Cottage is through a veranda full of plants and an outdoor setting shaded by a grape arbor. The small, sunny, private garden in front of the cottage provides limes, oranges and herbs for your enjoyment.
A classic pot bellied stove brings warmth to the large living room, furnished with a luxurious leather sofa and a cane lounge suite The dining room has a traditional style, with Art Deco lead lights and a vintage fitting and a formal dining setting.
The Cottage provides spacious accommodation with three bedrooms, a full kitchen , separate dining area and laundry facilities.
On the ground floor, the charming Queen Room has a window seat , its own door onto the back courtyard and another giving direct access to the bathroom with its classic claw foot bath tub and shower.
Upstairs the King room has a king-sized bed made up of two king singles that can be separated and used as twin beds. It has it’s own balcony with views.
The large Family Room has a king size bed which can be split into two single beds and an extra single bed.
The lake has a deck with outdoor furniture and you can paddle a kayak or swim. Fun for kids of all ages
The fire pit overlooking the lake is popular in cooler weather, or in the evenings when the bats can put on quite a show, swooping over the water.
The property is ideal for bird watching as the nearby Nightcap national park ensures an impressive variety of bird life can be seen throughout the year.
Our extensive gardens have a succession of seasonal highlights including Jackerandas in the spring, camellias and azaleas in the winter and magnificent stag horn ferns all year around.
Our 10 kW solar power system, water tanks and odor less composting toilets will ensure your stay is an environmentally friendly one.
Prices:
Saturday to Friday Nightly – $209 per night for the first two guests,
plus $35 for each additional adult and $15 for each additional child (2 to 12 years old).
7 night stay is $1,300 for weekly stays.

The Studio
Spacious, secluded, self contained bed/sitting room with separate kitchenette and bathroom and Air Conditioning. The decor has a tropical theme and quirky vintage furnishings give a unique ambiance. A lovely private garden setting with mountain views, a sunny veranda and courtyard sheltered by banana palms and the bamboo forest offer peace and serenity. Enjoy swimming in the picturesque lake or sit around the fire pit and toast a few marshmallows overlooking the lake. Wildlife and birds abound.
The space
The property is 20 acres and guests are welcome to explore the extensive gardens and bamboo forest. The deck overlooking the lake is a popular spot for an evening drink while watching wallabies and other wildlife.

Booking and Cancellation Policy:
Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of payment and cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the arrival date will incur a 20% cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival.
